Interesting message from our forums
Forum: Calculated Measure in SQL Server
I faced the same issue in one of my projects. Our problem
was when we were viewing some data against the Customer
dimension, which had some 20,000 records. The issue is
regarding Excel. Excel does not have that much memory to
calculate and store a huge amount of data in pivot table.
You can try by increasing the virtual memory in your machine.
What we did as a temporary solution was to pull just the
top 50 customers and then at a later point in time started
using Data Analyzer which is a proprietary front-end tool
from Microsoft.
